Do affirmations really help?
Gratitude. Self-Love. Positive Affirmations. Mindfulness. High Vibrations.
Amen. Bring it on! ….. OR….. Gimme a break! Enough with the positivity already.
No matter where you stand, these “buzz-words” have become household terms as of late. And even if you embrace them, you still might want to roll your eyes if you see #goodvibesonly or #grateful or #selfcare one more time. Am I right?
Some might use these terms superficially and there may be cynicism around their overuse; however, I still believe in the universal and collective impact of raising consciousness. I believe there is tremendous benefit in learning to open and nurture your heart and mind in order to help elevate your energy and enhance your life.
So yeah, I’m a sucker for gratitude. I am obsessed with self-compassion. And daily affirmations have literally changed my life.
7 years ago I was introduced to Louise Hay, motivational author, and her transformational book, You Can Heal Your Life. Since then, I’ve embraced affirmations that were inspired by her, and I made a commitment to use them in my daily life to help shift my mindset as I worked through chronic pain and fatigue from an autoimmune disease, rheumatoid arthritis.
One of my favorite affirmations that has helped get me through heartbreak, physical pain, emotional turmoil, confusion, uncertainty, and procrastination is,
“Everything is working out for my highest good. Out of this situation only good will come. I am safe.”
That’s why I decided to share a daily affirmation with YOU! I want to introduce you to, or reinforce for you, the power that your thoughts, beliefs, and mindset have on your health, healing, and overall well-being.
So, for my January Challenge I am going LIVE daily in my private FB group, “Wellness HQ: Health & Healing through Mindset, Real Food, & Lifestyle.”
What do I talk about? Every day I share a Louise Hay affirmation from her “I Can Do It” daily calendar, I give my reflection on it, and offer ways to consider applying these positive words to your life. Basically, it’s a daily dose of love, positive energy, and thoughtfulness from me to you.
