Do you feel behind schedule?

Do you consistently feel that you’re behind?

Behind in life?

Behind schedule?

Behind on your to-do list?

Behind on your goals?

Or just generally feel that you’re not doing enough?

Lacking or falling short in life?

Yeah. I feel you.

This feeling of not being enough, not doing enough, not good enough, or not being where you think you “should” be is real. And it’s not a great feeling!

Now, while many of us feel good and grateful about what we’ve done, what we're doing, and what we’re accomplishing, many of us can still feel that we are behind schedule. That we are behind in life.

I see this often with my clients who hold the belief that they are behind, and this causes and perpetuates self-criticism and stress. I help my clients work through this limiting belief and to make mindset and lifestyle shifts that better serve and support them as they learn to trust themselves and to make life-lasting change.

A few weeks back I was listening to a podcast and one of the comments they made was:

What if you are ahead of schedule.

I stopped in my tracks. Rewound, and listened to that statement again:

What if you are ahead of schedule.

Holy wowza that hit home for me. What a liberating thought.

Taking stock of my whole life, my goals, my health and healing journey, my business, my relationships, my projects, my dreams --- what if I am ahead of schedule?!

What if you are ahead of schedule too!

Instead of always thinking we’re behind and not doing enough or not accomplishing enough or not as far along in our journey as we’d like to be...

What if we started thinking we are ahead of schedule.

Isn’t that liberating?! I think so. Also, what if we didn’t attach to the need to feel rushed or behind or have a sense of urgency in what we did? What if we allowed ourselves to take our time?

That’s the topic for tomorrow’s episode of my podcast, Positively Anti-Inflammatory, (Episode 14) “Take Your Time.”

Do you feel like you’re always rushing? Do you live with this sense of urgency? Never allowing yourself enough time to do what you need to do or never allow yourself to take a moment and be okay with going at a slower pace?

Join me as I guide you to reevaluate your relationship with rushing and with time. I discuss the importance of slowing down, taking your time, and how when you allow yourself to do that, it’s not only freeing, but it’s incredibly beneficial and supportive to your health, healing, and overall wellbeing.

Listen and subscribe to Positively Anti-Inflammatory wherever you find podcasts.

Love, Your Wellness Coach,

Alyssa
