Recently, the concept of a “magic bullet” has come up with a few of my clients.
What exactly is a magic bullet? A magic bullet is thought to be a drug, pill, or treatment that can cure a disease or condition quickly and easily without negative side effects or consequences.
The problem with the idea of a magic bullet is that it leads to false hope and, when we don’t find that quick fix, we feel disappointment and frustration, and this keeps us stuck.
Unfortunately, some wellness practitioners and influencers keep that hope alive. They want you to believe that if you just take this one supplement or if you follow this one particular diet or protocol, your issue will be “fixed.” Forever.
We desperately want to believe in a magic bullet because, let’s face it, we don’t want to put the time and effort in, so we continually search for one but never find it. So we stay stuck and don’t give ourselves the opportunity to heal in a more realistic, non linear way.
Positive, healthy, life-long change doesn’t happen overnight. It takes intention, practice, and time.
When you take the opportunity to explore and discover more about yourself and the variety of healing modalities and ways of nourishing yourself that work best for YOU, you are empowered. You’re not just trying to fit into a “one size fits all” magic bullet.
There is no magic bullet and accepting this is empowering.
What if you gave yourself permission to prioritize yourself and your health and committed to discovering different ways you can support yourself on your path to wellness?
Let me show you how. I’m now offering two opportunities to work with me:
Highly personalized 1:1 coaching (6 months)
Small group coaching program, Nourish Till You Flourish (9 weeks, beginning January 24, 2023)
Email me to set up a call to find out which option is best for you.
