Your March 2023 Forecast and Affirmation

"What do you do for fun?"


To be honest, this question bothers me, it has always seemed sort of superficial, and I’ve never been quite sure how to answer.


It’s not like I don’t have fun. Trust me, I do. But I'm also blessed with a disciplined, serious streak that’s kept me focused on work and achievement rather than fun, pleasure, or play. It’s the practical, ambitious Capricorn in me.


What’s awesome is that, more recently, I've recognized how important and healing prioritizing fun is…it’s been a journey and I'm stoked to be here.


Having fun is essential to our wellbeing and leads to all sorts of health benefits such as helping you feel less overwhelmed by the stressors in your life, which, in turn, leads to better sleep – and we know how critical sleep is.


Having fun lowers your blood pressure and risk for cardiovascular disease. Fun eases pain and helps you cope better. Fun keeps you energized and increases flow in your life.


Plus, when you have fun, you generally laugh more and laughter releases the "feel-good" hormone dopamine, which serves as a reward for the brain, enhancing learning, motivation, and attention.


Clearly, it’s time to prioritize fun!


And that’s what the March 2023 affirmation from Louise Hay’s “I Can Do It” calendar is all about.


I pledge to have more fun this month! When I take the joy-filled option, I recognize that this is a way of being nurturing to myself. The more fun I have, the more others enjoy being around me as well. In this way, I spread positive energy wherever I go.


What if this month you pledge to have more fun? What if you take the joy-filled option?


Let’s do it. Let’s pledge to have more fun because we deserve joy and pleasure and it’s one of the most nurturing, healing, and supportive things we can do for ourselves.


Here’s to a fun-filled March….and a fun-filled life!
